What do I mean by that? I have a young sister
who was not promoted to a senior class this
semester.She came to me with all sorts of
complaints about a certain teacher being the
cause of her woes and I said 'no,no,no.That
teacher is not the problem,you are your own
problem.If you had taken absolute responsibility
for your academics and passed beyond every
reasonable doubt,that same teacher you are
complaining about would have promoted you.'
Now.what am I driving at? Most times,we tend
to blame others for our misfortunes,including
our poor financial state.It's common place to
hear employees say,'I'm poor because my boss
has not increased my salary for the past one
year'. For others,it is the Government that
should be blamed. Yes,everybody should be blamed
but not you.
But I tell you,the moment you take charge of
your financial responsibility and decide to be
blamed for whatever happens,that is the only time
you can really begin to create wealth for yourself.
For instance,an employee who has not been given
a salary raise should look for an alternative
means of earning income to augment whatever he
or she is earning.
Most times,our hobbies,talents and pastimes
can be turned into money spinners but we never
harness same for such,so,from this moment,look
inwards,what is it that you are blessed
with that you can turn into an income earner?
Resolve to take responsibility for your finances
from today and see your wealth creation ability
soar.
